The spectacular show Fuaim Chonamara (Connemara Sound) is an inspiring epic telling the story of Ireland’s oldest dance form, Sean Nós dancing throughout history. The show is full of raw energy and enthusiasm and features for the first time ever Barrel Dancing; an ancient art that is perfected by the Cunningham family. Fuaim Chonamara captures the imagination of audiences across all ages and cultures. This incredible, unique, entertainment show blends the old and the new, the contemporary and the ancient, the Sean Nós dancing against the more modern styles of step dancing.
The Cunningham 5 (Brian, Irene, Ashline, Michael and Lorraine) have performed with Sharon Shannon, De Dannan, Altan, The Chieftains, Máirtín O’Connor, Seamus Begley, Ronnie Drew, Mairtín O’Connor, Phil Coulter, Tim Edey, Liam óg O’ Flynn & Seamie O’Dowd but to mention a few. Now this hugely popular and talented family are set to take centre stage themselves with their own spectacular new music and dance show called ‘Fuaim Chonamara’ (Connemara Sound).
